| Jack Walker's studies in Asian philosophies led him to his interest in Asian culture and arts including the ancient martial arts. He was drawn to the concept of the internal martial arts which rely on inner energy (chi), mental intent and calmness of mind rather than the external arts which stress physical strength. In pursuit of this interest Jack studied Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan under Grand Master Yang Zhenduo, 4th generation descendant of the famous Yang T'ai Chi Ch'uan family of China. He also studied with Master Yang Jun, 6th generation descendant and has taken instruction from Han Hoong Wang, of Troy, Michigan, Disciple of Grand Master Yang. Jack has studied and practiced T'ai Chi Ch'uan for over 20 years and is a ranked member of the International Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'aun Association. Classes in traditional Yang Style T'ai Chi Ch'uan are taught in Valparaiso, Indiana, which is about an hour southeast of Chicago. Students will receive instruction in T'ai Chi Ch'uan sprinkled with Chinese philosophy.
